Tokenized Markets Outlook: Experimentation Becomes Testable Infrastructure
SEC relief, a live settlement network, and central-bank experimentation move tokenization from concept toward controlled operation.

The SEC’s September 17 order provides temporary, conditional relief for Tokenized Securities Venues that meet the order’s requirements. A day earlier, Circle announced the Arc mainnet, positioning it as infrastructure for onchain financial activity.
Separately, BIS Project Agorá reported real-value testing in July 2026 involving 28 institutions and central banks across 17 scenarios. These developments are distinct; they should not be blended into a single adoption score.
The edge is in the control plane
